FIT, FORM, FUNCTION

One thing that an engineer learns in school and throughout his career is that all parts must meet their FIT, FORM, and FUNCTION.
The same applies for good quality clothing - if it does not meet the above, then DON"T BUY IT!
It probably looked good on the rack or in the magazine but your STYLE and the pieces that make it up need to be fully interchangeable to keep you changing yet within PARAMETER.
FIT (by definition, as it it relates to CLOTHING) would be the "ability for a part (piece of clothing) to interconnect, mate with, join, or link to another part or assembly".
FORM refers to the dimensions, weight, size and visual parameters of the apparel.
FUNCTION would therefore define the ultimate purpose of the clothing by how it should perform (when worn).
ENGINEERED GARMENTS (EG) embraces the above with "good dynamic designs with patterns that can be modified for today's use. Led by Daiki Suzuki - EG "re-works the fits as lightly as possible, being careful not to re-produce vintage designs—adding some things and taking some off, balancing it out to make it look new."
EG started in 1999 as a fashion design and production company - their mission statement reflects their approach to sports gear and hunting wear brought into city life.
"Daiki Suzuki has spent over a decade blurring the lines between modern design and heritage craftsmanship. Engineered Garments consistently offers collections in which all pieces can be worn together, creating a plethora of unique looks.
Made in New York, the collection is <never> short of quality construction. "

The above sums it up.. :)
